Wheel Spacers

Hello All,

I'm a new Maxima owner as of today, a 2003 SE. I have a question, do any of you know what size spacers I should install to bring the factory wheels out to near flush with the wheel wells?

Thanks for the info.
Where do I get H&R spacers and how far should I go out on the front?

here is a link, but you should look around.... I think you may be able to get them a little cheaper....

http://www.livermoreperformance.com/...20Spacers.html

as for the fronts, it's up to you if you want to do those.... IMO, 5mm on just the rear makes the wheels look balanced

Are you sure only 5mm? That doesn't seem like very much.

15mm in the rear are perfect. I recommend the H&R's. I got them off a member here. they make the rear wheels look 100 times better. you will definatly enjoy them. I will have pics up soon.

Thanks for the info, 15mm sounds more like it. Did you do anything to the front?

I went to Treadquarters the other day and they said that they don't recoomend wheel spacers for me. What modifications did you have to do to install the spacers diffent lugs or anythingg to accomidate the extra space?

yeah, with the wheel spacers you get new lugs. they wont fit without puting new lugs. and for the front I think that 5mm looks best. I am waiting for mine to arrive.

if you go with spacers too wide, you may end up incresing understeer... 5mm or 15mm is probably not a big deal at all... Make sure you get new lugs if you go bigger than 5mm....

the benefit [imo] of going with a name brand is that you can get them to be hub centric so it'll be flush. by getting those eBay ones will probably "float" per se between the rotor and wheel. i mean you can tighten them down but there will probably be some movement.

i think 20mm in the rear and 5 in the front would look nice. If you are interested I have ichiba 20mm spacers for sale. e-mail me if you are interested. I had them on my 03 and they were totally flush!

I put 25mm on the rear and they looked great. My friend has the same spacer with stock rims and that looks great too.

I have a 03 Maxima SE Platinum Edition and I was thinking of putting wheel spacers on just on the back. Do you guys think these would work and if it would look good.

H&R or Ichiba if you want spacers, those aren't hubcentric so you end up with balance issues.

Yes it is the Titanium Edition and it has the stock wheels.
I'm looking at the H&R Spacers. So can I just order them and what's the deal with the Special #15 Note below? Do I need to be concerned about it?

240SX S14,5/114.366.2Stud12x1.25DRS5 mm151065662$69300ZX, 350Z,DRS15 mm153065662$120Maxima, MuranoDRS20 mm154065662$125

Notes:
15) Depending on model, axle, and year, Nissan vehicles have different diameters in the shoulder of the studs. This list provides notes and measurements of the shoulder of the studs required for installation. The wheel spacers shown will be supplied with shoulder bolts D=14.25. If you need D=12.85, please add a "1" at the end of the part number.

Don't worry about the special note. Just get it with the 14mm knurl and you'll be good to go

Another question I have is that if I go with the Eibach Pro Spacers in the 5mm or 10mm do you still need to remove the old wheel studs and replace with the longer studs. I would think not with the 5mm? Can you guys confirm. Thanks

Anything 10mm or lower, you don't NEED to, but it is recommended. The stock studs are long enough but once you go any higher (10mm+) you will need to replace the studs.

Those are good spacers. I had them on my Camry. You can get them cheaper than that though if you shop around.

Beat me to it. That's where I got the ones for my Camry. The price there is better than ebay.
