YES!! Finally picked up my 2k3 on Saturday.

Org members, I am the proud new owner of a Polished Titanium, 2k3, SE, 6-speed with the Titanium package. I had to make a move fast since my '92 GXE is on its way to heaven (over 200k miles and sputtering).

Anyway I really wanted something fun to drive and I really enjoy my '92. I looked at other cars and even test drove the Max about a month ago. Last Thurday I test drove a SE 6-speed and opened it up and that did it. I was hooked again. So I ran to the dealership on Saturday after not being able to sleep on Thursday and Friday night due to excitement. Now I am just waiting for the 1,000 mile break in period to be over so I can unleash the beast on some of these folks around here.
Will take pix when I get a decent camera.

LoL...pretty cool!

Despite the condition of your 3rd gen, how do you compare the 2?

Do you have that sense of "Maxima-ness" (see the sig)?

CoolMax,

Besides the obvious exterior difference and a bigger motor, I don't really notice a BIG difference between my '92 GXE and the 2k3. The one thing that is a little disappointing is the Bose stereo system. The speakers in my '92 seems to be able to pull more base and the 2k3 speakers sound tin-cannish. Also I don't really care for the noise coming from the Bridgestone Potenza's. But with the radio on I won't notice. I am sure I will notice more things as I drive the car more.

Newman - no I did not go to JMU.

KL99SEA - didn't mean to copy . Although you have leather and I don't. Oh well. lol.

Word of advice...

get rid of those RE92's ASAP!!!!! They suck in the rain and sliding off the road in a brand new car is a horrible way to find that out (no it did not happen to me, but they can't stay planted for crap!!).

My company has a great deal with Nissan, so I got $5k of retail. The total cost was a little over $26k. I could have paid less if I got a 2k2. Hope this helps. See if your company or any organization that you may be affiliated with has a vehicle purchasing program with Nissan.
