Difference between 6 spds?

Does anyone know the difference between the Z 6spd and the Max 6spd? The Z's stick looks a lot shorter, but i haven't read anything about being an STS. Thanks

Not absolutely sure on this. My opinion would be that the Z is rwd and the Max is fwd. The location of the transmission would be different therefore the linkage would be different. Also different shifter to go with a sports car. IMO

I'm pretty sure the Z's is just a shorter throw, I've been looking for anyone that makes a short shifter for the max, but can't find any. I know it's pointless to hope it but i can still hope that nismo will make a short shifter for the max.... then i will face reality in that they won't. oh well.

Nismo is our best bet. Is there a way to contact them?

This has been discussed before. The 6spd is the same. The Shifter is different, yes it is a shorter throw. There are a couple of us that are waiting on final info to see if we can fit the Z's shifter into the Max to provide the best short throw option we will ever get.

stop hoping and start waiting that's my next project. i have the idea of how to do i just need to make a print and have the parts machined. it would use the stock shift rod but make the throws shorter and cost 50-70 bucks for the adapter yo need to do it.

I don't understand why everyone wants this mod so bad. The shifter we have seems short enough to me. If you really want it shorter then just change it yourself. Simply leave the fulcrum alone and raise the lever point on the X and Y axis.

On these new cable shifters it wont be easy to make an actual short throw shifter since the fulcrum point will have to be dropped instead of raised like one a striker rod shifter.
