I have seen some org members with AE KIT without the complete rear valance (middle part)was it a style issue are fitment issue? Input please coz I am planning to gete it done before winter... I have 2k SE with the "oval" tip ...strikes Thanks, Anthony

 

I believe the AE aero kit was made so that the rear valance has no problems with the stock "oval" chrome tip.

On real AEs, the rear valence is a bit different as is the stock muffler. Real AEs came with the same muffler as the I30 which have the twin pipes pointing downward.

Yes, the AE kit as an accessory didn't have the middle piece of the rear valence...thus it was probably a fitment issue with the regular exahust (not the I30, AE one). Take a look at page two of my webpage (to the left) if you want to see pictures. But I figrued that even if the rear piece was there, it wouldn't be a problem, but the exhaust gases might discolor the kit over time. I was thinking about getting the middle piece, cutting it and using the "end caps" of the accessory kit to go around the exhaust cut out, but the entire rear valence as a replacement part was way too expensive.

 

Your statement is partially thrue, in Canada the Maxima SE AE's came with dual tips with the oval chrome rim but not pointing down, there strait like the 2002.

Yes, however, the Canadian AEs also have no kit on them.
