Oem Oil Filters ? Which One ?
Oem Oil Filters ? Which One ?
Just got home from local parts dept. at a Nissan dealership. Asked for a oil filter for a 2002 Maxima 3.5 engine. He gave me a filter with part number 15208-65F00. Seemed a little smaller than the one I got over the internet at Thompson Nissan which part
number is 15208-9E000. I asked the parts guy and explained that I had the other filter (9E000) He said the 65F00 was made for my 3.5 and that it was designed to work with the 3.5 engine........ Now Im really mixed up........ I want to use a genuine nissan part but which one should I use ???????????????

A replacement for the 9E000?

My Maxima originally came with the 15208-9E000 filter and I always ask for that one by its number because all the dealers keep trying to push the smaller one one me. The good thing is that my Sentra SE-R uses the same filter so I just buy a bunch at a time for both cars.
