Not needed

I agree. Haven't experienced any problems with the bumpstops.

Don't worry about them.

H&R springs, stock struts/shocks, no trimming of the bumpstops. I haven't bottomed out once.

I have this set up on my car; H&R's on stock struts. Although the car is very close to stock ride. I Have to be very careful when approaching bumps in the road. My car bottoms out in these conditions as well as everyone else I assume. (i.e) railroad crossings, large sudden dips, things like that. However what this mod brings is great handling; rids that floating feeling and it makes driving this car incredably exciting. Also depends if you load up your car. If you ride the car yourself or with one person in the pass. side I feel there is no need to trim bump stops. I've heard also that this will lead to premature failure of your stock struts. If you don't change them out when you do the install of these springs. I wonder will new struts help damper the bottoming out of this car? I'm waitng for the new struts due out next spring for 5th gen. And no trimming of bump stops here.

I had Eibachs put on my Max when it was new. Didn't change the struts and the bump stops weren't trimmed. Anyway, my car started bottoming out badly and bouncing quite a bit after about 7000 mi. I just recently had Tokicos installed (installer said they recommend trimming the bump stops which they did). My installer said that not trimming the bump stops may have led to ealier failure of my orig struts. The new struts have helped a lot, but I still hit some bumps (some RR crossings, pot holes, etc.) pretty hard, but the ride is much improved. I think that some better tires might help, also. That's my experience and this was with Eibachs not H&R's. If my ride gets too harsh again, I may switch to H&R's.

Nope. I've had my H&R Springs w/OE struts for about two months now, and have yet to bottom out...
