2k2+ washing the cabin microfilter
So, I'm noticing today at the dealer during an oil change that the replacement filter is around 45-50 dollars. I know the recommended service interval is 15K mi/1 yr and to replace it.
However, I noticed on the sticker inside my glove box that the filter can be WASHED every 15k/1yr in soapy water, rinsed and let dry. I was wondering if anyone has tried washing the filter and what their results were...still remove odors also?

I probably will...
take a shot at washing it instead of buying a 45$ new one. Perhaps I'll replace every OTHER one...
I'm only at 5k mi right now...will report back later. THought it was interest that only on the glove box door is it said you can wash it. Everything else says REPLACE REPLACE REPLACE.
