First rock chips in four months...

I've had my 2k2 for about four months now and I noticed three small paint chips on the hood. These d@mn things bug the hell out of me. Also, I noticed a small dent right about them. Its on the hood, about three inches from the Nissan hamburger emblem. It's only noticeable when you look at it in the glare of some light source and look very carefully. I noticed it while looking at the darn rock chips. The weird thing is I don't know what caused it. Can't be road debris cuz I would have noticed it while driving. It's liked a tennis ball lightly hit my hood right in the front center. Any notice something like this? It's right on the cold spot on the hood after you've been driving fast for awhile.

In a sense you are lucky because your car is silver and the chips hardly show. If you had a dark color you would have a heart attack by now.

Actually, I have the darkest color of all, BLACK!!! After about 3 months, my front end looked like a car I had been driving this car for a few years. I have never seen anything like this!

P.S. I thought I was the only one that waxed my door jams!

I know what it means to have a black car, my 96 I30t was black and had just as many chips as my Max (read: MANY). I swore I would get a light color but the deal on the green Max was hard to pass. Next time I will get silver or white and forget about shine and reflection.

I have a dark car too(green), and after seeing new chips and scratches everytime you look at the car, you eventually become numb to it... The first time is the hardest!

I'm already used to it... it's just that small dent that only I seem to notice.
