Rear Brake Pad Recommendation

My rear pads are acting up and down to the wear indicators. I thought the fronts were the ones that were toast due to road racing, but thats not the case. I need advice on what pads are good for the rears.

I just installed Raybestos Quiet Stop pads in front and rear. Did this to reduce brake noise and dusting, so far no problems. Rears will cost about $46.00 at Pep Boys.

to be honest with you.. i would go for some lifetime warranty pads from Autozone .. when they wear out.. just take them back with your recipt and get a brand new set.. i learned that after i notice how i drive wearing down pads like crazy..

but this is soley your choice.. most people go with performance pads.. but this is just an idea

Thanks for the advice. I am going to head over to Autozone in a little bit and but some new pads. Now that I think of it it doesnt matter what pads are on the back because the fronts do all the work.

My Raybestos Quiet Stops from Pepboys have a lifetime warranty. Although I honestly havent tried to get replacements yet, I was told it would be no problem, as have others on the board.

That's the exact same thing that happened to me. I wasn't too concerned with performance because, like you said, they're the rears. I got some organic pads for about $30. They're Beck/Arnley Worldparts. I Installed them this morning. Easy install; so far, so good.

I second this....QS on the Z28 and now on the rear of the MAX, very little dust.
