Apexi Rev/Speed meter questions
Apexi Rev/Speed meter questions
My bro installed a rev/speed meter on his 00 v6 5 speed camry, it was wired up so the factory 135mph speed limter should be cut, on the output menu under SLC 9speed limter cut) what speed does it have to be set at in order for the speed limter cut function to engage?
also the car came with 195/65/15 stock and now has 225/45/17,i did the math and the tire size percentage coems out to be 98%, i dialed that into the meter and now the speed reading on the rev/speed meter is a 2km different than the speedo reading? is this normal? is my ACTUAL speed the speed indicated byt he rsm (hence the Tire size CORRECTION funtion) or the speed indicate on my speedo??
thanks for the help guys, i cant find this info anywheres!

For those of you who know about wiring the Apexis... The S-AFC has a 2nd plug that you splice into that fits into the ECU but is it true the w/the APEXI-RSM, you just splice directly into the ECU wires? I've been looking for the plug for it that would plug into the ECU but after a bit of research on here, I read a couple of posts that implied that you should just splice directly into the ECU wires.... Just need verification. Any help would be great...

As for Toyota's, they require the extra wiring for the speed cut... not sure on what settings are needed though...

You won't need any of the extra wires for the speed cut.... just cut the ECU speed sensor, wire it to the RSM and then wire the RSM speed sensor output back to the ECU.

G snesor plugs right into the RSM as far as I know... you just need to mount it somewhere... How did you blow the ECU? mixed up power and ground?
