Parked alil close to me..............
Parked alil close to me..............
Ok, so I had to go to the store earlier today to pick up a few things and I noticed from the middle on back to the parking lot, there were alot of empty spaces. So I go and pick a nice open parking spot in the middle and go in to get my stuff.
About 10 mins later, I come out and I see another 2k2 Max (sterling mist) parked next to my car. As I'm walking closer, I did notice that there was sufficient room between my passenger door and his/her drivers side door, but I was still a little annoyed that out of 20 some-odd empty spaces, they'd pick the one next to me. This isn't a maxima meet, go find your own empty space!!
Alrite, I'm done venting now..........

But in this particular incident, there was sufficient space for opening doors...
Well, you guys are right in a sense, 2 max's parked next to each other look really cool, but the thing was, there were no other cars around near us, so even if he/she parked across from me, or another spot over, it wouldn't have been so bad.
I would think the "nit-picking" phase last for awhile after getting a new max. Will it ever wear-off completely? Probably, but not fully.

VQPowerSE,
I'm with you on this one- still parking away from the other cars. If there are many empty spaces in the parking lot, I park mine a little bit over to the next parking space. Not being a punk by taking 2 parking spaces but letting potential car know not to park next to me.

All,
Personally, I think anonimity is the best policy in parking lots. Two plus Maximas parked together may spell trouble for the owners and easy pickings for professional car thieves and Maxima haters. Whenever possible, I will blend in. This particular case would not be the venue for a Maxima Meet.

If one Max parks next to another Max, they probably figure their Max will get respect from other Max owner (ie. a safe place to park). As long as the other Max looks taken care of. Some Max owners don't respect their cars like the rest of us do. One time I came out of the store and a beautiful black MB was parked next to me. I figure he felt safe parking next to me away from other cars (only one side exposed to parking lot idiots).
