Stereo Question????

Hello to all.. I have a 2k2 Max without the Bose Package but have the CD and tape deck head unit. What I want to do is keep the exhisting head unit and add a subwoofer amplifier along w/2 10' Bazooka's from a previous vehicle I used to own. My dilema is either purchasing an adaptor that taps into one of the speaker leads and plug my RCA cables through there or is there a factory wire harness that can plug into the rear of the head unit itself? I know more than likely the Bazooka's aren't a good choice but thats gonna have to work for now till I get a box w/sum 12's in it. Any suggestions or feed back would be greatly appreciated.....

Actually no, Bose is all proprietary 1 ohm. It's a mess. Go read the Audio Forums Zaggin.

No Prob I'll let it slide this time LOL.

All he needs to do is look at the smaller of the 2 harnesses in the back of the factory unit.

Their should be a total of 5 wires. 1 being ground and the other 4 being + and - for the rear speakers. Just tap into those and u'll be set

Even if he did have Bose, a good installer can tap that signal for your bass lead, that's how I did it.

Since you have no Bose, you'll need to use the rear speakers as audio source. It's not a big deal, any installer should be able to do it.

From 1 being a easy job to 5 being hard, I would rate this one at 3. Its not that complicated, just a matter of running the wires to where you would want them.

But i dont justify paying someone 60$ or more to hook that up.
