Hey, Im new to the board and new to the Maxima family..The only question i have at this point is which intake is the best for the car. Prior to my 03 Maxima i had a 94 accord with an AEM intake and that was by far the best intake for that application. In your opinion which one is better : INJEN, STILLEN, PLACE RACE , or FRANKEN (I think its called)If you could let me know that would be great thanks.

welcome.

before you ask a question, do a search to determine if it has already been asked/answered.

berk w/o midpipe. Cheap and good gains

frankencar (w/ midpipe) good gains and loud

the INJEN CAI probably looks the best (and costs the most). It does not give up as much low end as a berk (or anything w/o a midpipe), but it loses high end instead (pair this with a y-pipe may be the solution).

the Place racing may draw cooler air, but is basically the same as the INJEN.

the CAI vs hybrid is a big debate (do a search to see what people say)

I would recomend starting with something like a Frankencar or Berk (with a midpipe).

Welcome to the org.

As far as intake goes, there's a GD for a frankencar intake. I ordered mine based on comments I read about from various members. Like the earlier thread said, do a search, you'll find a lot of info.

Welcome to the max world
About the intake go to berktuning.com, you can get a K&N intake with a installation kit for like 55$ that is with a group buy, Im not sure how much it runs now but I bet its not that much more. I have it on my car and it works great. If you want a deeper sound and growol from your engine then definitely frankencar.
BTW next time do use search button, it should help you out with any unanswered questions.

Always put an "a" somewhere in the word definitely and you'll fit in just fine.

Welcome to the org! I'm a new member too and I ALSO had a '94 Accord with the AEM intake. You won't believe the way these engines sound compared to the Accord. Awesome growl. I don't know much about intakes for the max because I'm stock right now. Good luck deciding which one you want. Once again, welcome and glad to see we have another family member.
