Help Please....

Hey Guys and Girls I had to take my wheels off to check my brakes this weekend. Now the car vibrats at 60mph and stop at about 75-80mph. My question is do I need to realign or rebalance the wheels or is something else wrong?

Help please I am very ****ed off.

When you put the wheel back on did you properly tighten the lugs or did you just tighten them all up one at a time. You should have 'seated' them all first then tightened them up. I don't know for sure, but maybe there is a little play in there. Also, it is possible you could've knocked off a wheel weight or something. Good luck.

Sounds like wheel balance if it only happens at a certain speed and then goes away. Have the fronts rebalanced, if anything--

Make sure you actually tighten all the nuts - happened to me once that I forgot. It sounded like clunking. If you just looked at your brakes without disassembing and put all wheels at the same place you took each of them from - then just retighten lug nuts. I can't imagine that you broke your alignment/balance - you didn't hammer your wheels for some reason, did you? Just kidding, you should see me when I was changing my rear pads the first time . I still wondering how did I manage to stop one of my bigger friends from pushing that stubborn piston in without turning(!). He could probably succeed, given some more time ).

Mike.
