I'd rather pick up a 2002 5-speed IS300, paint the altezzas body color, and drop one of the numerous turbo kits on it and be making 400+ hp TO THE WHEELS.
Now that's what I call a track car! Handling, braking, RWD, and with the turbo, SERIOUS power.

Did anyone hear about the IS300...
Modified to an IS430 by TTE? Toyota Team Europe(Think European TRD) took the 4.3L V8 and stuffed it in the IS engine bay along with a supercharger. I think it was making between 400-450hp. Sure, it's nothing compared to the 600hp 2JZ-turbo models out there, but imagine the difference in low-end torque!

ICE - I remember about a year ago when the kits started coming out there were two of them in SCC or Turbo mag that were both 500+. One of them was about 620 or so. It was a black one that had the higher HP and the other one was Blue.

You sure about it being an IS430?
I think you are referring to the IS330, with a 3.3 liter I6. The IS430 is strictly a concept vehicle and currently no plans for production. I work for Lexus, so my info should be reliable - I hope I am not the last one to find out about this though?!

dblrr900.....
I found ONE that breaks 600whp(606.1hp/576.5tq). It's Toyomotos' automatic and the dynos are STD not SAE corrected. Anyways, it's got a bored/honed block, pistons, con rods, stock crank, Haltech E6K ECU, 750cc injectors, and LOTS of money thrown around.
Others I've read about:
A blue automatic XS Engineering IS3 puts down 415.8hp/419.2tq SAE corrected at 13psi, but on race gas. Around town it only runs 7psi, since it has stock internals.
A blue mica automatic TBKO IS3 puts down 321.3whp/309.5wtq SAE corrected at 7psi on stock internals.
I know there are a couple more turbo IS3 articles around, but I doubt they put down more than 450whp with stock internals, so far the 606whp/576wtq black turbo IS3 is the highest published and definitely exotic.

From the VVTi Forums:

Do you guys believe any of that? The same guy also mentioned the IS330 in a different thread, 3.3 liter V6.

Before he did the single turbo he put down 490 hp and the car rolled 202mph on the Dyno. That is some amazing numbers from these cars.

But, isn't it if you move the rear-end or differential or something, you can balance it out 50/50 weight.
I know what the thing is called I just can't think of it.

It's funny this thread is talking about a much faster car than the max, in fact it's about a car that isn't even in production. Yet, when I started a thread about the new Neon, I get my *** ripped for it.
Anyway, the IS430 everyone is talking about was also all wheel drive. I don't know about the ones in the mags, but the one that started this thread, the one developed by European TRD was AWD. So while the V8 would throw off the distribution a little, it wouldn't have much of a detrimental affect because of the AWD.

One of my best friends is pushing over 600hp at the wheels. Stock internals, single turbo, larger injectors, and all the normal bolt on turbo gear.

yeah sure maybe in the straight aways, but good luck getting your 4-door sleeper to hang in the mountains or something like that.
I agree though. I would love to get an M5 and drop a 250 shot or something in there. Just to have that extra need for speed when the time comes.

I'm seriously considering a F650CS for my starter bike, but if the R1150 S comes out next year, that's going to be REEEEEAL tempting.

Ya Car & Driver has pictures. It's speculation as of now.
But why would Lexus/Toyota go out and test the car at Nurburgring, if it was just suppose to be a Concept Car?
That kind of sounds stupid too me. If your going to test a car on a track, it sounds like they would be serious about putting it into production.
