Is there a steering TSB ?
Is there a steering TSB ?
I have a Nissan Maxima 2001 GXE auto & the steering wheel is very very loose, it has a lot of play and steering is very sloppy. It takes a lot of steering to turn the car, this is mitigated at higher speeds because of the speed sensitive mechanism.
Also, the steering wheel is very easily disturbed by bumps, acceleration (possibly torque steer) and braking. Showed it to dealer, but he claims it is the same as other Maximas !! I need 4+ turns lock to lock. Anyone seen anything like this ??
Looked at the TSBs but this does not seem to be covered there ?

TSB?
I have not seen or heard of a TSb for steering.
Simple thing, did you check your tire pressure? If you are over inflated it can cause some of the symptoms you have. I have a FSTB and keep all tires at 34 with excellent steering wheel feel.
