350Z shift ****...would it fit?

Just curious but does anyone know if the new 350Z manual shift **** would fit our cars? or is it going to cost me $95 plus shipping to find out.

Looks sweet...

I dunno. Could be a different style where you actually have to push the entire handle down ??? Anyone actually drive one and see ??? Every 6 speed has this lock out I think... Safety..

I hate the ones where you have to push the whole stick down. Ugh. I hope the G35 isn't this way...probably the same as the Z. Who's driven one?????

I realize that. But if the shifter is a 2 piece design, i wonder if you can unbolt the hanlde with the ****... Sorta like a mustang.. The handle unbolts from the shifter, then the shifter bolts to tranny. Needs to be lookied into...

It would be nice if we could swap the handle but we can't. Reason being is that the Z's shifter uses a rod and not a cable. The setup of a cable shifter is quite a bit differnt then that of a rod shifter. Also reverse does not require the Z shifter to be pulled up like the maximas. So in short it wont work.
