2K2 Maxima Stock Horns

I did a search of the Org first and found a couple of threads on this but did not find what I was looking for. I do not like the stock horns in my Maxima! I want to change them to a better sounding horn. I'm looking for a nice American sounding horn instead. I heard an Altima horn the other day and it even sounded better than our beep...beep bee horn that we have in the Maxima.

Someone recommended I get the I35 horns, but have not heard them and I don't know if they are easy to install. Has anyone replaced their stock horns with the Infinity I35 horns? If yes, how much were they, do they sound good? and were they easy to install? Any help and suggestions on this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I would think that the Maxima and I35 would have the same horns. Do you guys' horns sound like an electric buzzer/beeper kinda thing? That's what our 2000 Pathfinder sounds like. The horn on my I35 seems pretty decent to me. It's pretty loud (still sounds like an air horn), but not as loud as the stock horn on my old 97 Chevy Lumina. That thing had like dual air horns stock. It was LOUD.

The I35 & Maxima horns are not the same sounding horns. That's why I was trying to find out if any Org member switched them. If they are the same size (I'm not sure they are because I have not seen them yet) then the install would be simple and you would get a BETTER sounding horn.

I don't understand why Nissan put such a ****ty horn on its flagship?!

Anyway, Thanks for your feedback Org members!

that will satisfy you, its really easy to install...just follow the directions.

I hated the "meep meep" sound so I got Fiamm horns at Autozone.

I installed the fiamm air horns. Sounds like the air horns in a can people use at ballgames. $20 for the pair.

The max actually has 2 horns so I put the air horns in front and left 1 stock horn.

Hella SuperTone Electric Horns....

install was easy. you do have to run your own relay, but it was pretty straight forward...i know i have a post out there explaing the basics of the install. and believe me, you CANNOT get louder than these unless you get truck horns...these hellas are 140dB's.
