You'd better re-check some of the power to weight ratio charts in my sig on this one

I agree with you on the rest, though.

A stock 6spd Maxima dynos at around 205 fwhp weighing 3239 lb. A stock S2000, if I'm not mistaken dynos at 195-200 rwhp, while only weighing 27xx lb. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that an S2000 is gonna smoke a 6spd Maxima on the highway when properly driven.

But herein lies the problem. Most people that actually own these cars do *NOT* know how to drive them properly. If a stock 6spd max is pulling on a stock S2000 on the highway, then the 2k driver should be in 1 or maybe even 2 gears lower. If they're trying to pull from 4000rpm (which sounds fast) then nothing is gonna happen, considering that 4k on that engine is more like a fast idle

Unless Russ is driving the Maxima, then it would be impossible for the Stook to pull on it.

PEACE!

You are the one who started talking **** to me. I think you should watch how you talk to people. I suggest you read the thread more closely before you post another message. Just when did I say I want to put a skyline engine in a maxima?!?!?!??!?! I dont think you are taking into account all the factors involved in this race. I dont even want to explain to you AGAIN. Go read the thread before you post anything else! and dont reply to this post with your sack full of B.S.! PEACE to you TOO!

Dude, how old are you, your acting like a kid... Sheesh

Take it easy with the words... do not direct such foul words to any member on the org or else you will get BANNED...

Your a newbie around here, adn you have not posted anything of use to any of us maxima guys, so don't go around here and tell people off...

Save that attitude for some RICER car boards because it is uncalled for here..

NO YOU DO NOT HAVE A RIGHT TO DEFEND YOURSELF AGAINST SENIOR MAXIMA.ORG MEMBERS..

LOL

Just take it easy to the both of you.... Some people don't have the time to read the 10 page thread... thus they jump to conclusions..

But alot of times, org'ers take it personal when NEWBIES talk trash.. I only become more involved with the ORG over hte past couple of months after i got my 2k2..

I guess teh unwritten rule is that you CAN B!TCH and complain about $hit that happens to your car, but never directly swear at somebody like *** YOU or YOU @sshole, etc... Its offensive

Peace

yeah this thread is getting locked now..unless it goes back on topic.

you guys shouldn't underestimate an RSX-S even though they do suck. Those cars are easily modded unlike ours. Stock for Stock ours is faster.

Yeah, i am sorry. I should have known not to talk back to senioir .org members. man, i start a thread telling everyone what happened and this guy tells me i can't shift. how would you guys feel if you were me. and it's not even the shifting. right after I popped it into second and i was just just straight accererating with my foot on the gas all the way down. my car wasn't gaining on him that much, very slowly. so it doesn't have to do with my shifting. *sigh*

one more last comment and im done with the whole flame war thing going on. i have riden with a variety of people who drive manual tranny's. everyone has their own style at shifting and the mechanics of it all. just a question im not dissing u but how long have u been driving a manual transmission? when i first got my max i was terrible (bc it was my 1st manual tranny ever), granny shifting and missing gears happend when i first started. i went out and made sure that i could shift fast before i could do normal everyday shifting smoothly. my entire point is if u just casually shifted or didnt shift fast u could easily lose the valuable second(s) that could make or break the race esp. considering it was about a 3-7 sec race in the first place. in general if ur a beginner on a stick and think that u can shift fast, the majority of the time u will be mistaken. ride with a expirenced shifter and see the difference in style, accuarcy and consistancy. i might be way off by saying everything in the previous lines, u might be a drifting team from japan, i dont know but i know that a 2k2 max 6 speed is in a completely different category than the RSX-s in any area that u can think of esp PERFORMANCE. i know from experience as i have stated.

Oh, by the way i have plenty of extra weight in my car with all of my audio mods (i had a 15" W3 in my car and just recently put in 2 10" W3s in place of the 15")but thats besides the point. if a 70lb system is going to make the difference in the race, than oh well whos choice was it to put it in? dont make excuses or say well my gas tank was full and i have a 70lb system. what happend happend! u cant race someone and then go hey man lets race again but first pull over and wait while i take a crap, empty out my gas tank, take out my sub box and spare tire out, to lighten my car up really quick .

You related to anyone in Rochester NY? My friend says almost the exact same thing. When he goes to the track he goes with a full tank and refuses to take out the spare. "When you race on the street you can't say wait man I gotta take out my spare, take out the headlight, syphon out some gas and take a ****!" That's almost exactly what he says all the time.

RSX Type-S Run

Its interesting after reading this thread i got to run a mutual frens RSX. This was a fair race, both of us was stopped at the light when it turned green we both punched it... first gear he lost badly, then second gear i wont lie he pulled pretty hard, but then the VQ30 kicked in and it was pretty much over after that... i had a good car length on him...im a 2000 Automagic with on a STILLEN intake.. he also had some type of intake i wanna say it was a CAI because his intake was screamin real hard...

You should have pull on him by much more even though you're stock and he's not. Not sure if it had to due with your driving or not.
