I have hit 142. And to be honest, it scared the **** out of me. I am fine up to 120 but after that I fear for my life.

 

Me too, but the car felt good. It just seemed like everything was in fast forward. That's real fast, passing cars going seventy like they aren't moving...

 

Yeah I hear ya. I fear going fast now my monthly insurance just dropped from $147 a month to $109. I CANNOT afford a ticket. Although I hit 105 going into work this morning. Amazing how safe I feel at 105. The car just floats. Its funny the older you get (I am 26) the more cautious you become.

 

I have gone up to 135 before I backed off. That thing was still pulling strong! The speedometer goes up to 160 and now I know why. I guess I'm not brave enough to find out how fast it can go.

 

Like a straight track where no deer are going to jump infront of me or potholes.

 

Yeah I know what you mean..I used to speed all the time when I was 16 and now that I'm 22 I'm being cautious alot more...although not all the time

I'm 25 and yes it is amazing. I still drive faster than I should, but nothing like what I used to. Too much to lose, House, Cars, Job, etc. D@mn it I am old now!!

 

crusing at 110 feels fine in my 2k2 se, but i cant stay at that speed so long because i catch traffic on the turnpike quickly when im at that speed. id like to take it up to 120 next time, but im afraid of a ticket and jailtime.

 

Just don't get to the next check point too fast!

You need to find a place with a center concrete barrier, so you only have to worry about what's in front of you. Once you're going, you don't have to worry about behind you because it is unlikely the the popos are gonna be riding that fast. So once you've gone a couple minutes at say 75-80, there won't be anybody to worry about back there. Then let her rip! Preferably on a nice long straight away where you can see way down the road. my frind was driving my car back from the strip club and he hit

150 in my car . mods include underdrive pulley, frankencar intake (damn was it loud at 150) , random tech high flow cat, hks rear section exhaust, and of course mobil 1.


we were both scared ****less, i dont think that will happen again.

the 2k2 6 speed will do at least 150 if not faster

 

I just saw the Maxima commercial where the paint peels off from going so fast....

When I was going 140+, that's what it felt like, just like that commercial, everything in fast forward!

 

Umm - Dana? I was with Chris the other night and he challenged me to match you w/ 5 people in the Maxi... He told me after we went past your starting point (some sign), and we hit 130 as we were turning on the ramp. C U tomorrow night @ PP - we'll play on the way home.
