Will my 00 Maxima die? Dealer changed my oil to regular

You all know about my tranny that blew up last week on this thread: tranny gone

So anyway, I just noticed yesterday that the dealer after fixing my tranny under warranty also changed my oil. Problem is I was using Mobil-1 10-30 synthetic and now they changed me to some crappy no-name regular (actually i think it might be gastrol 10-30). I called them today and he said that was by mistake that they changed the oil. One of the service guys took the wrong car for the oil change. Questions: Is my engine about to drop? Should I go back to synthetic fast? and how? How about that Amsoil? How do I get them at cost/discount? Help me out!

You're Engine isn't going anywhere!! I've always changed my own oil, and when I was a youngin' I used to go from conventional to synthetic oil (due to the cost of synthetic) with no problems... Now that I'm older, and cost isn't an issue, I use synthetic Always. However I've never had problems when I would go from one to another. The '89 Max I had even ran till 189k miles till my brother got it as a hand me down and traded it in for his truck. Now, I always stick with Mobil 1, but that's just me. I used to use Castrol Syntec, but it must've been a post/article I read somewhere about it not being as good as Mobil 1.

It won't damage it. I would try to make the dealer put Mobil 1 back in though, it was their screwup. Why should you pay because some tech can't tell two cars apart? It makes you wonder what else like this happens to cars sometimes.

Kool fellas...
I am gonna wait for the next oil change and them put Amsoil in there. Car seems to drive a bit rough though. Not as smooth as when the Mobil-1 was in there. Thanks Fellas
