Too much unsprung weight

I had the factory wheels off today (02' SE 17")and out of curiosity, I weighed them. 54 POUNDS I then weighed the 17" BSA rims from my I-30 ..... 42 POUNDS . I never realized how heavy the factory rims are. 12 lbs is alot of unsprung weight. And the BSA rims aren't any high dollar rims. Get some ultralight rims and lose even more.

That's with tire, so don't forget lighter tires can help too.
