I just read that other thread and I can't believe that they are denying any wrong doing. It is pretty sad when you can't trust your car at the dealer. I had mine in for the transverse link recall and when I picked up my car I noticed that they put on 54 miles on it!! I can see road testing it but to put that many miles and think that I would not notice is just wrong! Once the warranty is up on mine, it will not see the inside of a Nissan dealer as long as I own it. But in the meantime, if I need warranty work done on the car, it will be done with me there. I will no longer leave the car for them to do what they want at their leisure.

Bottom line.. Nissan does not care about service.

yeah, if it wasn't for warranty and the fact that I think they screw up my car first, i wouldn't go into the dealer for service
once thing I noticed, everytime I go in for something, service rep would always add 100 miles to the mileage on my odometer

Has anybody had any good experience with Nissan Service in the New York area. I haven't brought my car in for service yet and all these negative experiences I'm reading and hearing about are freaking me out.

Amity Nissan (Amityville, LI) and Warnock Nissan (Morristown, NJ) are both worth the drive (~1 hr.)

My dad's an auto mechanic and I know that they HAVE to test drive the cars before they return them to the customers. I'm not sure how far, but one of my friends has argued that it's atleast 50 miles or so. I guess if it was like a $8000 repair, than 50 miles would seem resonable.
