I30/I35 owners: do you have the rattling blues?

just curious, since the cars are almost identical, if you had the rattle from the bose system in your cars?

my passenger door and rear deck are killing me, but being in college i have neither the time nor patience to put in the dynamat myself and circuit city wont do it for only the doors and rear deck. they said its too much effort and not enough profit.

i used to own a 93 J30, and i dont recall hearing any rattling like i do in my max. perhaps the extra few thousand $ goes to making the car a bit more insulated/solid?

rattles

Yes I had rattles from the rear deck, but not the doors. What I did for the deck was cut up an old towel, roll the pieces into *****, tape them to stay rolled up, removed the cover for the base speaker, and them stuffed about 6 of the rolled up ***** under the deck. Took no time and worked. That was two years ago and it is still quiet.

I just got the pass door rattle 2 weeks ago (after 3 years). I'm ready to rip it from the hinges and throw that door across the lot. It might be easier just to open it up and dynamat.. it is driving me crazy tho..

if you could post pics of what you did, i would really appreciate it, that sounds like a quick inexpensive fix.

note: for the door rattles, today i stuffed some old books in the side compartments(driver/passenger)and it worked like a charm, no rattle from doors anymore. now the one remaining problem is the rear deck...

Sup Tim. I agree lets have a "discus throw." I got my eyes on a pair of JL audio w3 12s and possibly either a jl amp or kicker amp. will decide when its time. I was quoted about 700 dollars from sound ideas so i'll do a bit more looking around and then decide.
