LED turn signal bulbs

Has anyone tried using White LED bulbs as their rear turnsignals (1156)or in the front (1157)? I wonder if an LED might look really good.

Does these LED's use the same socket adaptors as the stock bulbs? Or I would have to modify the adaptor a little before I can use LED?

That thread looks like it deals with sidemarker LED (194). Im curious whether somebody has used leds as turning signals. Does the installation require any modifications, or should an 1156 led work fine?

It works just fine with no modification, but it seriously is really bright.
