need help, what is this.......?

It's a green plug located near the battery on the injen cai for on my 2k1. I can't seem to pull it out, not sure if I should apply too much force, but it did come it pretty easily from the stock grommet area.

I suspect that it is this that set off my check engine light, it seems very flimsy around the rubber grommet. Please check this image at the link, it's too big to insert here.

any help would be appreciated.

Thats an oxygen sensor. It should just pull straight out or with a little bit of wiggling.

Mine pulls right out, no strggling at all. Try what victor said and pull out the rubber grommet also.

i tried pulling it the whole thing, but it's not giving way. I'm going to take another try at it after the engine cools down cause I just burned myself.
