Yes, Sunday is the day the I like to break my car. I wake up bright and early at 6AM and do a walkaround trying to decide what I am going to break. After choosing what I am going to destroy, I usually have that part done by 8AM. Then I spend the rest of the day attempting to fix it by posting stupid questions on the .org and driving back and forth to Checker.

Actually, Sunday is MY day. I just want to be left the hell alone. I want to cut my grass/trim trees, clean the garage, wash the car, pick up dog poo, do laundry, watch football, etc, etc- whatever it takes to be left alone. I talk to people all week (sales) and weeknight and Saturdays I spend with my fiancee. Sundays (before 6PM when Sopranos comes on) are MY day. Leave me alone (unless you are helping me install a nitrous kit this Sunday- then it's cool. )
I feel you on the chores on Sunday. I guess once I decide what mods I am going to make, I will be isolated as well. Here's to loving to spend time with our rides.

Dork?

It's all in how you say it. Instead of telling the dentist you talk about modding your car with people on the internet, it wouldn't sound dorky if you said that you go on the internet to ask people that already had done this mod about any potential pros and cons, in which way you save yourself money, headahe, and time.
Everyone only wishes they used the internet when they hear the price and ease of things when I tell them.
Nobody ever said I'm a dork, but i'm told I love my car more than anything all the time. hehe
And all the people that would call us dorks, are those that know nothing about cars, and I'm sure they'd shut up when we'd park next to their car, or if they have a good one we can compare the price.
I owe this forum a lot.
And i'll keep coming here until I have a maxima, most likely.
So keep the "maxima.dork" up and running

Jeez, you guys are D-O-R-K-S!

If the shoe fits wear it. I think I am pretty cool. My wife disagrees. She thinks talking to people on the internet is stupid. She also thinks one of my favorite movies is totally stupid. How can anybody think Office Space is stupid. I can kinda relate to Michael Bolton. OK, I am a dork.

My wife believes I'm obsessive about the Max. After all I've had 2 Max's before this (but didn't know the .org existed) and never spent so much time "working" on them.
We schedule girl's weekends and guy's weekends (where the spouse stays home with the kids doing kids activities and the other goes out-of-town shopping w/girlfrinds(her) or hunting/golf/etc.(me)) about once every 1-2 months.
When I pick one of mine to go to the Racetrack, she just goes .

People at work (except the rally racers) don't understand the modding and god forbid, the looks I got when I mentioned the camera mount I put it my max.

And then the first place I go after the huggy / kissy the the wifey and kids when I get home.....you guessed it log on to the org and max-world to see what I missed. After all, it's been 45 mins since I was on at work.

OK, it's sad but it's better than being on Crack (although sometimes as expensive).
