I was wondering if anyone else is having clearence issues with the Custommaxima.com front strut bar. The engine hits the strut bar when starting in first and reverse.

 

A few people had that problem. They adjusted it and had no problem with clearance after that. Some used a dremel tool i believe and sanded one part of it like an eighth of an inch down and that fixed it as well.

I actually went down to do some testing for Greg at CustomMaxima.com last week and one of the things that he was still working on was this FSB. He installed one on my 2K2 and we went for a ride so he could see this problem first hand. Then he took off the bar and it did make a slight mark on it where it was hitting the manifold. Now that he has seen what this is doing, he will be able to come up with a better solution.
