The PROgram Piggyback ECU . . .
Check out:

To the best of my knowledge, this is the ONLY aftermarket ECU upgrade currently available for 5th Gen Maximas. Results were impressive on a 4th Gen . . . +20 hp and +22 ft/lbs of torque at 5000 rpm.

Re: The PROgram Piggyback ECU . . .
You have to take your Max to an Authorized Racer's Group shop to have the ECU installed. If you're interested, check with The Racer's Group for an authorized shop in your area. Among other things, the shop has to have a dyno so the ECU can be custom tuned for your specific vehicle. Which brings me to the next point.
The cost of the ECU isn't all that unreasonable. But it takes several dyno runs to custom-tune the ECU for your vehicle. That's where the extra cost is coming from.
