Does anyone know a good car wash place in the Queens/NYC area that won't cause scratches? Does the snow and salts cause any damage if I leave on my car too long?

Snow shouldn't be to bad except when it freezes and turns to ice - which may scratch your car when you remove it. As for the salt get it off as soon as possible as salt causes corrosion and rust.

It is bad to leave road salt on your car too long. The stuff is pretty harsh. I don't know about Queens, but if you go to a brushless/touchless car wash you should be ok. Just make sure you don't go through a car wash that has brushes

There is one on Brooklyn, down Utica just after Foster. It's an "Automated" Hand Wash pricey 13 - 18 bucks for the tri-wax ( that's the one I always get)

Be careful of the car washes that recycle their water. You will be washing the car with fine grit and pure salt, spraying it into all the nooks and crannys. Do what I do , buy a cheap electric power washer and do it yourself.
