first time taking max to track (kinda long)
Well, it was my first time taking my '02 max to the track and the first time back at racing for me in years. I was only able to make two passes because I got there late.
Pass #1:
Well, I just found out that the tower lane SUCKS! I rolled up, lit the stage and pre-stage lights - I then let off the break to bring up the revs and my car rolls. I move up to light up the lights, slam the brake, look at the tach as I bring up the revs, look back at the xmas tree to see the last yellow light lit! DAMN!!! I nail the gas, pop the clutch and smoke the tires... at the end, I did a 15.408@95.174 with a .632 RT.
Pass #2:
I went to the spectator lane. Did a lot better - had a decent launch but had A LOT of wheel hop. I was about 100ft or so from the end and my tach was at redline in 3rd. I made the decision to not shift - big mistake- I hit the rev limiter and had to shift to 4th. I did a 14.745@92.223 with a .316 RT.
What do ya guys think? And how in the world do I get rid of this wheel hop???
