Great article. Thanks for posting it. I think someone suggested on the board a few weeks ago that our brake problem was the pads. I've never broken in pads or rotors nor have I never replaced the pads when turning or replacing the rotors. I was ready to spend some money upgrading the rotors, but maybe I'll try new pads first. Any suggestions on a "high performance street pad with good low operating characteristics"????

i think stoptech uses Axxis pads. personally i would send an email out to them asking.

I think this should be a FAQ...I mean how much more great information can you get about brakes.

The stoptech web site indicates Axxis Ultimate pads, which are described as Performance Street Pads. I am so tired of the brakes on this car. Why is it that nissan can't come up with a permanent solution other than constant rotor turning/replacement. Maybe Carrol Smith should see a maxima rotor that had the lugs tightened with an impact wrench and then driven for a while - it would be his first warped rotor.
