engine coolant

I have a 02 Max GLE and I was checking the
fluids this morning and I noticed that the engine
coolant was quite low. It was still above the low
mark. I have never had this happen. I do not see
any leaks. Is it possible that the coolant is
in the radiator? I don't want to put more coolant in and overfill it. I has been quite cold here in NY and maybe that has something to do with it.
Everything else is normal.

If it is above the low marking on the bottle, then it is normal (for a cold engine). It expands from the radiator to the bottle when warmed up. Level should then be at the HOT line.

It's a closed system. As long as your above the low mark [b]cold[/c] when your engine is cold, your system is full. If you check it again when the engine is hot, you'll notice it's come up some.
