New to the Maxima, what mods are good?

Alright, so I just got an auto 2000 SE, and I was wondering what are some decent power mods. I read the whole thing about not modding autos, but then some say that it does pay off, so I'm a bit confused.
So, what are some mods that I should consider, what are the costs(price, mechanical, whatever), and what are the benefits?

those are good basic mods that are worth the money. open up your exhaust flow for some added power.

How much power gain should I be expecting from these mods?

Also, as for the exhaust, the 3.0 is not a big engine at all, wouldnt completely opening up the exhaust hurt low end torque?
