Need help with changing headlight bulbs on 2k2

I'm going to be swapping out the high beams and was looking under the hood to see how hard it would be to change the bulbs.

The passenger side looks like i need to unscrew the housing for the 9005's without having to take out the entire headlight assembly. However on the driver side, with the fuse (?) box and battery in place i can't reach in - so i'm assuming i'd need to take the entire assembly out.

Question is this, am i right about the first part? (e.g. unscrew housing, or is it a matter of just pulling it out?). Also, after doing the bulbs and taking out the driver side headlight assembly, would i need to re-aim anything?

Your help is gladly appreciated.

Thanks.
- Mike

On the passenger side, just unscrew the housing for the high beam and pull it out. The bulb is snapped into that housing. Detach the old bulb and then put the new one in its place. Replace the housing.

On the drivers side, it is the same procedure as the passenger side but you should remove the headlight assembley in order to change that high beam. It is easier to install. No need to re-aim after putting headlight back. I tested them before I but the bolts back on the headlight.

Hope that helps..

Yes, just twist the bulb assembley and it will come out. You don't need to do anything with those screws. I believe that those are part of the bulb assembley.

What kind of bulbs did you end up going with Mike? I thought about getting Xtreme Whites for my highs, but I thought that they might cause too much of a reflection in rain/fog?

I got the Eurolite's, check this thread out

I'm not worried much about rain/fog reflection since i hardly use the highbeams in those conditions. And i'm thinking of getting the Crytal Ion's for the fogs anyway.
