I guess it's time to let the cat out of the bag. I'm the 2nd 6 Speed owner to have a remote start (RS) in my car. Polo had the first one. He had his partially done by an installer, and partially done by himself. We worked together (via IM) to do mine, as I did the install by myself. The RS install wasn't complicated, but definitely aggreviating. There are several places where I got hung up and was ready to bang my head against the wall.
If you are a GREAT wire person, have installed alarms before, and have some time on your hands, you can do it too. But, if none of the above are you, DON'T TRY IT.
As for pictures , I'll post pictures in this thread in as soon as I can get my camera back from my sister (should be this weekend). As for the write-up, I'm still working on it.
Oh, and it's great to leave the car running when it's 95 outside while you run into a 7-11 to get something. Then you come back out, get in your car, and drive away. All the while, the air is still on in the car. (Works great for cold times too, but switch the A/C to the heater setting for best performance).
