i haven't used my car in 3 days now, and its been parked outside. finally i decide to go outside and see whats up with my max, its totally buried in ICE!! there is at least 2 inches of ice on it. the doors and trunk were frozen shut, and my ice scraper was in the trunk, along with my liquid de-icer, whats the best (safest) way to get all that ice off?

I've always heard cold water for ice. You don't want anything toooo warm as the temp difference could cause the glass to crack.

i was afraid of using warm water cause of the glass, so i used cold water and a stick (only thing i can find that would work), now its totally de-iced, now i need a carwash. thanks again.

Re: thanks guys...

I remember a post somewhere here, where a guy said that a bucket of warm watter "SHATTERED" his window..

Get some of that ice-melt in a can, and an ice scraper, and you **SHOULD** be fine..

-Tom

PS.. tri-state area is supposed to get raped this weekend... i'm hearing over a foot of snow!!!
