Jet Chips

I was wondering if any of you guys use the Jet Chip in your 5th gen maximas. I am thinking of purchasing the jet chip. your replies are appreciated

i dont have one of these chips but ive heard nothing but bad things about them. Ive heard of cars not starting when people buy them. If i were u i wouldnt even think about this. spend ur money elsewhere.

If to do a search on it you'll find a lot of discussions about the Jet chip. But basically it does nothing.

well what company does computer upgrades that are good?

at the moment....no one (for our Maxima's anyway)

The newer ECU's have highly integrated memory that takes a special programming tool to flash a new program. Mitsubishi started using these in 1999. As far as I know even G-Force tuning can't even do these. What JET claims they do, is plug a module between the ECU and the factory harness that alters the signal which in turn advances timing or richens/leans out the mixture. Very few dyno's have ever proben JET is worth the cost. Just take a look around the net and see for yourself.
