Thinking about trading Max for G35 couple

I am thinking about trading my 2K Max for the new G35 coupe. The only mod the car has is the lowered Eibach springs. Should I bring the car back to its stock height, or just leave the springs w/ the car. The reason I am asking is b/c I don't want to shell out the dough just to bring the car back to it original height. What do you think? Thanks.

I work in the car business and in general, modded cars are frowned upon. This is so because when a dealer sees a modded car, he assumes that it has been raced/abused. Cars that are not stock also bring less at the wholesale auctions. It will be to your advantage to put the stock springs back on. Just my two cents.

penny wise

I would only imagine that a car enthusiast who knew you would be interested in a lowered car. As the previous poster points out, a lowered car is going to give the impression of being put through its paces. Given your car is so new, I think it would also smell of some mechanical problem.

Given this it seems inconsistent to worry about the small cost to restore your car to a more valuable position given that a G35 coupe is going to set you back quite a bit.

Don't get me wrong, I happen to like the coupe and kind of wish I hadn't bought my Max. But I'm not that much in love with it to make a change.

Plus, maybe depending on where you live, a G35 Coupe may be hard to come by. A couple of days ago I saw where a guy was auctioning his $500 deposit (on eBay) for a December delivery date, and the bidding was over $2,000. I believe it was in the Dallas area, but me thinks there is going to be some heavy demand for this car.

Try selling it on your own and not trading it in. Most enthusiasts realized that although we push our cars hard, we keep them tuned and fluids changed at regular intervals. Dealerships don't care.
