I bought a Viper 550 ESP from Ebay and I wanted to get it installed in my 2002 Max SE. The thing is cartoys wanted $400 to get the thing installed. I have already bought the 555U transponder as well. Am I getting ripped off here? I live in Seattle and I am aware that labo cost might be more expensive here. But still, $400 is something for nothing.... just pure labor and knowledge. Here are some of the few things I could do:

1.) Get the thing installed for $400. DUH!
2.) Sell the alarm system back @ ebay and get DEI 552T.
3.) ........

The main reason why I wanted to install Viper 550 ESP in my car was the remote start feature. I dont expect my car to be stolen or anything. I dont have mods in my car that attracts thieves or anything like that...... just that I want to warm up my car from my house. Any suggestions or comments are welcome. Thanks in advance for reading and posting!

$400 is way too much. I sell the 550for $300 installed.

If you get the 552T keep in mind it is ONLY a remote start with keyless. It does have features such as ignition kill,trunk release,flashing LED,etc..but no sensors to be an alarm.

Yes, I understand that the 552T has limited capabilities, but as I said, I only wanted the additional remote start feature on my car. The factory keyless entry already has trunk release and flashing lights, but no remote start.

Damn it, Don. Just get your **** here in Seattle. Just pretend as if you're having a holdiay and a trip to Seattle to install the thing for me.
