On custommaxima.com they have both cattman catback & greddy evo. which one is better in your opinion?
in terms of power gain and sound (too loud or not)
thanks

Just get the WSP Y-pipe and B-pipe with resonator...and leave the stock muffler.....if you arent happy then just get a muffler from somewhere...the y and b will help you more than just a cat back

btw i love the rims

Not if you plan on boosting. If you do, you want a straight flow exhaust. Stock muffler aint going to help, more like hinder.

I have the full cattman exhaust with pics on my homepage. I like it a lot. It is however really loud, so...

I have a Greddy Evo on my 2K1 with the Stillen Hi-Flow Intake and I love it so far. I would definitely recommend the Greddy, but I haven't heard the Cattman, so I can't say anything about that. btw, i don't think the Greddy is loud. On the Interstate in 5th gear, you can't even hear it. However, on the street, there is a drone in the 4th and 5th gear, but I don't mind it too much...Goodluck.

GReddy evo's loud with a y-pipe...
if you don't like loud exhaust, it's probably not for you.
APEXi WS systems are a very nice looking yet very quiet exhaust.

can't say which one gives more power but whichever it is....I bet there's like a 1-2 hp difference.

just get the one you think looks nicer.

I've got Greddy and I don't think it's loud at all.....but then again...my y-pipe and straight pipe aren't in yet.

ok this is what i gathered so far
catback (cattman or evo) + y pipe = too loud is there anyway to solve this problem? I don't want something that'll be too loud
y pipe + b pipe (both from WSP)+ muffler(any kind) = too loud too?
and all the gains from catback is very small?

get a Y-pipe, and cat-back, but keep your stock muffler and sell the new one. If you get the Greddy, i might be interested.

Yes. You also have no drone at cruising speeds. I personally like the noise though.

yeah, I like Apexi's WS system better than Greddy too. Any idea when they will come out a Cat-Back system for 5th gen maximas?
