best color to mask paint chips

Guys,
I'm about to buy a 2003 Maxima, and was wondering about which exterior color resists paint chips better (if any of them are better than others)? Perhaps a better question is which one MASKS the paint chips and/or surface scratches the best? I'm thinking about Sheer Silver, but would like to know your opinions. Someone in a previous thread said that Gray Lustre is better because of something in the paint, but I'm not sure what they meant.
Thanks for the help.

Most of your more neutral (gray, sand, tan) 'metallic' colors which already have some inherent tone variation would cover the best.

So something like Gray Lustre, Sterling Mist, Sheer Silver, Polished Titanium would do the trick then?

Thanks.

Maybe not the super light 'silvers' but as a group I would say they are better than say, white or black.

Sheer Silver should not show it as much as my black does.
But there is no other color that looks as good as a clean black car.

hear hear! black looks incredible when clean, no other shade can compare! sure i wash my car at least once a week, but i don't care, 'cause i like washing my car.

i think primer gray probably wouldn't show a lot of nicks... seriously, the closer to steel color, the less the nicks show. the closer to that color my car is after i don't wash it for a month - road grime brown - the cleaner it will look!

LOL pick the color that makes you the most weak in the knees! practical colors are for camrys!

Your dark colors like black and majestic blue would really be noticeable. I have a Sheer Silver and my 01 Altima was Platinum Metallic which was close to Sheer Silver and I only had one paint chip on that car the entired year I owned it.

The downside is I'm noticing these small tiny little rust spots on my car, but I've heard people say that it might be fallout in the air from a plane. A clay bar would take care of that, which I have, but haven't used it.

I would go for the light grey color, what ever it's called. I have Grey Lustre, and the undercoat where the chips are are lighter then the Grey Luster paint. Good luck!
