Clear Bra

We are new to this site. Hello from the snowy state of Colorado!

We are awaiting the arrival of our new 03 Sheer Silver/Blk Leather SE. We bought the car extremely well (~$5,400 under Invoice) and got the dealer to throw in other items. One of which is the window tint or clear bra option.

Are the bra's really worth it? Do they ultimately damage the paint? If ever removed, is the color under the bra noticeably different? Please advise so that we don't make a mistake. Thanks.

From what I hear the clear bras are the better option over the regular black bra. The regular bra really fades and wears the paint because of friction and moisture. Is the clear bra youre getting made by 3M? Those are the best (from what I hear). Id say you should get either the clear bra or the wind/bug/rock deflectors that go on the front of the hood.

What dealer did you get your new Maxima from. I just bought a 2000 SE and love it. I am in Arvada so maybe I will see you on the road.

$5,400 under invoice???? Surely you mean $5,400 under sticker or MRSP?

Hello Roe! Bought it from Tynan's in Ft. Collins. They had to bring it in from Boise. Needless to say, we are still waiting but are driving a brand new 03 Maxima, while we wait.

Hello from Greeley!

Yep, you are right. Under MSRP. Sorry and thanks for the correction.

My 02 TL Type-S came with dealer installed 3M Scotchcal clear bra. More than a year later, so far so good.

I'd suggest getting the clear bra. We had it on our '02 TL-S and now on the G35. If installed correctly, it will blend into the paint color and you won't notice it unless you're looking for it. We also had it installed under the door handles to keep fingernails from scratching the paint.

Congrats on the new car.
