I too went to read that Short Take, and from the tone of it, I got the impression that C&D was not too impressed with a 2002 Max, or any Max of late. To each his own!

Surprisingly, C & D Magazine really didn't heap a lot of praise on the Maxima.

C&D

I wrote a thread awhile back complaining about clear inconsistencies with that month's C&D, especially when it came to the Max. The article was certainly a backhanded compliment. They would say great increase in HP but not enoough more than the competition. They also felt that Nissan was clearly going the way of the Altima so it wasn't necessarily a good idea to go with a Maxima. The article really infuriated me but as someone else pointed out, you should never magazine race. You have to go and find out for yourself.
