Cluster Gauges

I have a 2002 maxima, automatic, does not have traction control. I wanna replace the dash speedometer cluser gauges with the 2003 titanium cluster, If I buy this from a dealership, is it compatible with my 02 model seeing as how everything is the same engine wise on the 02 and 03 models. Thanks

Yes but you do realize that it comes in parts and the cost is over $700 for the whole thing?

Actually, When I priced it the guy said it was around 240 with calibration included. It was the 2003 gauge cluster.

It this the whole unit or just the gauges itself?

Because DaveB at Town North Nissan said it is close to $700 with the gauges, bezel, circuit board, and assembly.

That's an awful lot of money for such a small cosmetic upgrade. Even $240 doesn't seem worth it.

Hmm, I gotta check my source, but I am 100% sure he said a quote for under 250...the guy also said that he needed to get my vin and milage and send it to the calibration shop to get the right mileage inputed in the cluster memory. I wanna know however, if there any incompatibilities?

That's odd...when I went to Serafini Nissan here in Binghamton, the parts manager told me that they would not put white-face SE gauges on the car because it's a GXE, even if I ordered from them and had the mileage put on correctly and everything, because according to him the VIN is for a GXE and Nissan will only replace it with a GXE cluster. how did you get the guy to be willing to put new gauges on the car like that? Which dealer was it at? sorry for all the questions, I've been trying to get white-faced gauges for a while with no luck

I know about yours...I read your writeup on how to do them (looks sweet by the way) and then I went to every junkyard in the area trying to find one, with no luck, so then I went to the Nissan dealer and got that BS line from them. If you ever see one on Ebay, give me a heads up, I've been dying to get my hands on these.

Actually, I wasn't looking at the SE gauges, I was looking at the titanium ones for the 2003 models. these come on all the models.
