Tire question??

What will be the main difference in performance or riding comfort between 255/45/18 tires and 245/40/18's? Looking for advice and opinions. Thank you all!

All other things being equal, the 255/45R18 tire will not perform as well as the 245/40R18. But it will ride more comfortably. The factors involved are the volume of air the tire holds and sidewall flex. There's a ton of information on this subject both on and off this forum, so I'll leave it to you to determine how those factors affect comfort and performance. Or we can just sit and wait for the post hogs to gather . . .

For what it's worth, I wasn't flaming you. But if that's how you want to look at it, keep this in mind:

It's better to give a resentment than to get a resentment.

That's OK, Maximax2. TheOzzfather is entitled to his own opinion.
