Do the caps on the tire valves serve any purpose?
Are they generic?
If someone borrowed one of mine, can I go and borrow one, from, say, a Taurus?

The caps stop dirt getting in the valve.
Yep, you can borrow caps from any car.
You might want to ask the owner if he wants them returned.

All tire valve caps are the same. You can 'borrow' them from any car, or you can go to a tire store and bum a couple for a nickel. Or, unless you want fancy chrome ones, or the ones with lights, and you don't wanna pay, then I guess you'd HAVE to 'borrow'.

Darn it..free air in jerzee.. gas 50 cents of more a gallon cheaper then NYC.. I wish I had a legit reason to travel to jerzee each week. fill up once and have someone pay my $4 to get back to nyc
