Squeaking Seat and No LED

I've got a couple of strange things happening with my 2000 SE, any suggestions or comments would be helpful.

First, my drivers seat squeaks all the time and it's not just the leather, I know this sounds lame, but it is annoying as hell. Is there anyway to grease or lubricate the springs or would a Nissan dealer/mechanic need to handle it?

Second, there is no LED readout on the stereo system display panel, the radio works fine, the CD player works fine, but nothing shows up on the display, so I can't see what radio station is on or what track is playing on the CD. Anyone have any idea what that is all about and how or if it can be fixed?

Thanks!

Well about the seat, check the tracks it runs on, other than that i can't help you. About the stereo, maybe check the dimmer. The first time i got to drive my car at night, there was no display on the stereo until i turned the dimmer all the way up. Probably doesn't help, but good luck.

Already check those things, that's not it, but thanks.

I don't have leather, but my drivers seat squeeks all the time too! It makes it sound like my car is 10 years old.

its the seat belt connector (what it connects to between the center console and seat). Drives me freaking crazy. both sides to it on mine. Its not really an accessible item. I've considered pouring something in there, but I know it would get on my leather
