Winter tire options for 2001 SE?

Hey everyone,

My mom has a 2001 SE with the 17" alloy OE wheels. We are looking for some good winter tires, specifically studded winter tires. I have been looking all over the internet and there doesnt seem to be many choices,ok,I havent found any. Im pretty sure the size is 225/50-17.Does anyone know of a good company that makes studded winter tires for this car.If not, what are some other options?

Thanks.

Steve

I think the max size for winter tires is 16inches (might be wrong)...

Checkout www.tirerack.com. The Bridgestone Blizzak is made in a 17 inch size and is one of the best snow tires out there. You won't need studs if you go with the blizzak. I'd just go with some 16 inch steel wheels, or some cheap alloys, which opens up a whole lot more tire options.
