Spoiler - "ABS blow molded" or "Fiberglass reinforced plastic" ???

i had a nice bid goin for a OEM spoiler that was already pained but some guy outbid me be like a dollar when i was in NY for turkey day. so now that i can't get that spoiler, and i dont have $500 or so for one through my nissan dealer, i think i'm going to get one made by another company. but the auctions i've seen advertise Fiberglass reinforced plastic or ABS blow molded. which is better? thanks

Why? The dealer told me they sell fiberglass, and I have found that to be generally cheaper. Thanks.

i bought the ABS blow molded spoiler and had it installed about 2 months ago. so far its been wonderful, the paint is fine and its holding up wonderfully through all the snow, rain, sand, and salt we've had in New England recently. Only issue was that the Nissan dealer who installed it wouldnt guarantee their installation because "the parts werent genuine Nissan parts"

Well I just got one from SpoilerDepot (they had an ebay auction) for $99 plus $75 to factory match paint, and another $25 to ship... not a bad deal. But, its fiberglass, so I don't know. I called a local dealer, and they wanted like $450 and he said theirs was fiberglass too, so that's why I went with that. I guess it doesn't really matter too much, as long as it looks good. And screw those punks that think all spoilers make a car look like a rice-rocket... it just cleans up that plain rear end a little.

any company that offers a warantee should be fine to buy from. also, i dont like any of those enormous spoilers - agree with the previous statement that they are just to clean up the rear end. classy, not ricey spoilers are the only way to go. i dont need 500lbs of downforce on my FWD car....

Yeah, I forgot to mention... they have lifetime warranty on spoiler and on paint job - not bad. Their prices off ebay are a little higher, but I think they sell all the same ones on ebay, so might be worth a shot for anyone out there that needs one.
